This year, after feeling a bit burned out by the concept of "seasonal designing", I decided to create a permanent collection called Ancestors.
Embodying the concept of stability, rather than urgency, Ancestors' intent is to evolve, grow and be edited; A line of basics that all work well with one another. Each family has specific traits, and as techniques are explored in different adornments, I can add pieces when I feel the urge. Even though the line is permanent, the collection is dynamic and has filled out to a 25+ piece series.
With new designs added to Ancestors, I approached some of my fave humans/artists/muses to create petite lookbooks for the collection.
5 sets of artists // 3 months // 1 collection. The project is called Myths of Ancestors. It's not a collaboration. It's honouring some of the most inspiring artists around me by handing them complete creative freedom and in return receiving a series of lookbooks that I would never be able to create on my own.
The first series, "V" by Blake Armstrong, will be released next week
